Perfumer: Christophe Raynaud
A moonlit leather made with velvety violet leaves and smooth cool orris, all studded with cardamom, dry cedar and spicy earthy cypriol.
In the Beso trio, Beso Negro ("kiss of the darkness") represents the sleepless nights of the busy holiday island: velvety darkness, golden lanterns, cooling sea breeze, stars, and sand.
All about this fragrance
Vibe check
The heat has left the air but not the sand, and conversation continues after the music falls quiet. Cool violet and orris temper the leather’s sensual weight, giving Beso Negro a close, unhurried presence suited to the more intimate hours of a seaside night.
How to wear
Try it on mild evenings or in cooler weather, when its leather and earthy woods can feel enveloping rather than heavy. Start with one or two sprays on the neck or upper chest; warmer skin may bring the spicy, woody facets forward, so apply more sparingly in summer heat.
Who it’s for
For those drawn to supple leather, cool iris textures and earthy woods rather than bright citrus or overtly aquatic beach scents. Its green violet opening and spicy depth suit a taste for sensual fragrances with a dry, shadowed character.

The nose
Christophe Raynaud is known for expressive, sensual compositions that balance immediate appeal with richly textured foundations. His work includes co-creating Paco Rabanne 1 Million and Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal. For Beso Negro, he translated the contrasts of a Mediterranean night into cool violet and orris against earthy woods and leather.
Beso Beach’s story
Beso Beach translates its Mediterranean beach-club identity into fragrance: sunshine, music, shared pleasure and the intimacy of a kiss. The perfumes are conceived as a way to carry the seaside experience home, with Beso Negro exploring its darker, more sensual hours.
Beso Negro’s concept
Beso Negro belongs to the house’s original three-fragrance collection, conceived to bring the Beso Beach experience beyond its restaurants. Raynaud drew on the transition into a Mediterranean night: the last sunlight on the water, warmth lingering in the sand and gathering darkness. Leather, patchouli and cool floral textures express that contrast rather than a literal marine accord.
Extra info
Beso Negro was one of the three founding fragrances, alongside Bendito Beso by Olivier Cresp and Beso Canalla by Annick Ménardo. Despite its beach-club origins, its published note pyramid contains no explicit marine accord, building its nighttime atmosphere through violet, orris, woods and leather.
