All about this fragrance

Vibe check

This is a scent for close quarters and deliberate presence: a dim room, a tailored jacket, a conversation that starts softly and lingers. Its coffee bitterness and suede warmth give it a confident, slightly provocative edge without losing composure.

How to wear

Best in cool weather, especially autumn and winter, where its coffee, iris and leather facets can unfold without feeling heavy. Apply sparingly as an extrait; one or two sprays are enough to create a smooth, intimate trail with good persistence.

Who it’s for

For wearers who like spicy gourmands with a darker, more dressed-up finish: coffee, iris, leather and musk over sweetness. It suits those drawn to sensual, powdery, woody fragrances with a confident, unisex attitude.

Release year

2021

Collaborators

Luc Gabriel, Cherigan’s revived-house founder, shaped the brand’s modern direction and historical brief, guiding the re-creation of an Art Deco-inspired perfume that translates Irish coffee into a contemporary extrait.

Cherigan’s story

Cherigan is a revived Parisian house rooted in the Art Deco era, balancing heritage reconstruction with a modern, regulation-aware approach to perfumery. Its identity leans on elegance, freedom and a distinctly French sense of creative polish.

Iris Coffee’s concept

Iris Coffee was launched in 2021 as a perfume extrait inspired by Irish coffee and the story of Joseph Sheridan, who is said to have created the drink to warm travelers on transatlantic flights. The fragrance translates that idea of stimulating comfort into a bitter, creamy, leather-tinged composition.

Extra info

The fragrance is a direct nod to Irish coffee, and Cherigan frames it through the glamour of the 1930s-40s travel era. It is offered as an extrait de parfum and also in a 15ml travel format called Le Touch. The house says its extracts use up to 99% natural materials.
