Liqueur Charnelle hand and body wash
Parfumerie Generale are expanding their fine perfumes universe with the new hand and body wash. It's perfumed with Liqueur Charnelle (@3%), the bestselling spicy amber perfume from their range.
The generously perfumed formula is based on a cocktail of cleansing agents of natural and renewable origin including sodium cocoyl glutamate (this very mild surfactant is derived from the fatty acids of coconut oil and is an amino acid most abundant in the structural protein (collagen) of human skin).
This gentle cleansing gel with rich foam can be used for washing hands, body and hair.

All about this fragrance
Vibe check
An evening shower as the pace of the day slows: warm water releases the cognac-and-spice character, while blond tobacco and dry woods keep the richness measured. The pleasure is private and tactile—a fragrant pause rather than a statement made across a room.
How to wear
The warm amber, cognac and tobacco profile is especially inviting in cooler weather. Lather a small amount over wet hands or body, then rinse thoroughly. Treat it as a fragrant cleansing step rather than a substitute for perfume; pair it with the matching fragrance when you want the scent to continue beyond the shower.
Who it’s for
For those drawn to boozy ambers, blond tobacco and woody gourmands with restrained sweetness. It suits a preference for warm, textured bathing scents over bright citrus or brisk aquatic profiles.

The nose
Pierre Guillaume created the original Liqueur Charnelle fragrance that scents this wash. A perfumer with a chemistry background, he combines technical experimentation with tactile, often gourmand compositions. Here, he shaped the cognac theme around spice and dry woods rather than overt sweetness, with a raspberry accent adding a fruity thread.
Pierre Guillaume - Parfumerie Générale’s story
Pierre Guillaume’s independent house brings scientific technique and poetic expression together in contemporary, wearable perfumery. Working from its own Auvergne workshops, it maintains close control over creation and production, extending its fragrance compositions into everyday bathing rituals.
Liqueur Charnelle hand and body wash’s concept
Liqueur Charnelle began as an exploration of the aromatic complexity of cognac: its fruity, floral and gourmand nuances translated through spices, blond tobacco and powdery woods. Guillaume deliberately pursued a drier, spicier interpretation rather than a sugary liqueur effect. The hand and body wash brought this established perfume into the house’s first bath-and-body range.
Extra info
The cognac note is a fragrance accord, not a claim that the wash contains liquor. The generously foaming gel is SLS-free and paraben-free, and its cleansing system includes sodium cocoyl glutamate, a mild surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids.
