Muguet Fleuri - Oriza L. Legrand - Bloom Perfumery
Muguet Fleuri - Oriza L. Legrand - Bloom Perfumery

Following in the tradition of the iconic lily-of-the-valley perfumes Coty Muguet des Bois and the original Dior Diorissimo (both long gone), gorgeous Muguet Fleuri is the modern day standard for muguet soliflores. In the wild, this innocent-smelling flower is highly poisonous, but in its perfume form, the only danger is its aura of fresh-faced naughtiness. Muguet Fleuri places lily-of-the-valley in a dewy, garden green setting, grass freshly cut. After all the crisp brightness, the drydown is creamy and sensuous.

All about this fragrance

Vibe check

The mood is an unhurried morning with the windows open onto freshly cut grass. Dewy lily-of-the-valley and crisp violet leaves bring a composed, almost prim freshness, while the creamy finish makes that formality feel softer at close quarters.

How to wear

Its green floral character is especially suited to mild spring weather, when the grassy brightness and softer drydown can feel balanced. Start with one or two sprays on wrists and neck for a restrained impression; in warmer conditions, apply lightly to keep the floral sweetness from outweighing the crisp greenery.

Who it’s for

For lovers of traditional lily-of-the-valley perfumes who prefer leafy freshness to sugary florals. Its soliflore focus, mossy green framing and creamy finish will appeal to tastes that favour botanical detail and vintage restraint.

Release year

1920, reissued 2014

Oriza L. Legrand’s story

Oriza L. Legrand approaches perfumery through archival revival, pairing historical fragrance identities with French artisanal production. Its period-inspired presentation and compositions preserve a distinctive, sometimes old-fashioned sensibility rather than smoothing it into contemporary convention.

Muguet Fleuri’s concept

Muguet Fleuri revives a fragrance dated by the house to 1920 and associated with its Art Déco heritage. The modern edition belongs to Oriza’s broader programme of reconstructing historical scents through archival research and surviving perfume samples, without claiming chemical identity with the original.

Extra info

Lily-of-the-valley appears at every stage of the official note pyramid, from wild and woodland references to the base. The house also presents Muguet Fleuri as a floral good-luck wish, invoking the symbolism of a few sprigs of the flower.
