All about this fragrance

Vibe check

A morning shower before the day gathers pace: luminous neroli and the fragrance’s pear-and-agave accents give the bathing ritual a light, gently sweet character. The mood is quietly uplifting, with orange blossom taking the place of a sharper, purely functional wash.

How to wear

Lather onto wet hands or body, then rinse thoroughly; the formula is also intended for hair. Its airy neroli character is especially appealing in spring and warm weather, though it suits year-round bathing. Enjoy the fragrance through the foam rather than expecting the projection or persistence of an eau de parfum.

Who it’s for

For those who favour luminous orange blossom, soft musk and gently fruity floral scents over dense sweetness. It suits anyone who wants a generously scented cleansing ritual, particularly admirers of Néroli ad Astra looking to carry its character into everyday body care.

The nose

Pierre Guillaume created the underlying Néroli ad Astra 19.1 fragrance. A self-taught perfumer with a background in chemistry, he is known for compositions that balance technical experimentation with tactile, wearable textures. Here, he revisits orange blossom through a fresher, muskier and more airy interpretation; the wash carries that perfume into a cleansing formula.

Pierre Guillaume - Parfumerie Générale’s story

Pierre Guillaume combines chemistry, technique and poetry within an independent house based in Auvergne. In-house production supports a hands-on approach to contemporary, inventive and wearable perfumery. The Le Bain collection extends that approach into everyday cleansing and body care.

Neroli ad Astra hand and body wash’s concept

Introduced within the house’s 2020 Le Bain collection, this wash translates the 2017 Néroli ad Astra perfume into a bathing ritual. The original fragrance reworked the orange-blossom theme of Louanges Profanes 19, imagining neroli and agave flowers in a celestial garden with a fresher, airier, musky character.

Extra info

“Ad astra” means “to the stars.” The cleansing gel contains 3% Néroli ad Astra fragrance and is formulated without SLS or parabens. Despite its hand-and-body designation, it is also intended for washing hair.
