For Night, he began with musky rose, adding cumin for bodily warmth and agarwood for a more animalic, sensual character.
Collaborators
Anaïs Cresp initiated Akro’s concept of translating everyday pleasures into perfume, drawing on her experiences in London. She also designed the original collection’s packaging, including the bottle and cap, shaping Night’s visual presentation alongside her father’s olfactory work.
Akro’s story
Akro takes its name from the French word “accro,” meaning hooked or addicted. The house translates cravings and everyday pleasures into gender-free fragrances, treating coffee, smoke, alcohol and physical intimacy as serious perfumery subjects. Its identity rests on recognizable sensations and unconventional materials rather than abstract luxury.
Night’s concept
Night was created to express physical intimacy within Akro’s original collection of pleasure-inspired fragrances. Olivier Cresp built the composition around musky rose, using cumin to introduce deliberately bodily warmth and agarwood to deepen its animalic character. The result places the floral accord in close contact with skin-like, sensual textures.
