When she was a young girl, Akro founder Anaïs Cresp asked her father, the master perfumer Olivier Cresp, to create a perfume just for her, one that nobody else in the world would have. Oliver set about creating a joyful scent for his daughter to carry through life. He combined notes of sage, bergamot, and raspberry, building a bright and vivid fragrance for any time, any place. Now Anaïs wants to share her secret stash of happiness with the world, so get ready to smile with Smile.
All about this fragrance
Vibe check
Smile suits the buoyant intimacy of an afternoon spent catching up with an old friend, when conversation quickly becomes laughter. Sparkling bergamot and juicy raspberry give it an open, playful presence, while sage and musk keep the sweetness from feeling overly sugary.
How to wear
The citrus-fruit balance lends itself to spring and summer, particularly mild to warm days. Start with one or two sprays on the neck or forearms, allowing the bergamot and sage opening to settle toward raspberry and musk. In hotter weather or close quarters, keep application light so the fruity sweetness remains measured.
Who it’s for
For those who enjoy bright citrus, juicy fruit and soft musk without the richness of a dessert-like gourmand. Smile will appeal to tastes that favor playful sweetness balanced by aromatic freshness, and a personal fragrance with an approachable rather than dramatic character.

The nose
Olivier Cresp is a master perfumer whose work includes Mugler Angel and Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. His range spans rich gourmand compositions and luminous citrus fragrances, with a gift for making familiar sensations feel distinctive. Smile began as a personal creation for his daughter, Anaïs: a fruity musk built around sparkling citrus, raspberry and sage.
Collaborators
Anaïs Cresp, Akro’s founder and Olivier Cresp’s daughter, supplied the original personal brief: a fragrance made exclusively for her. After wearing it privately for years, she chose to share it through Akro, making that father–daughter connection central to Smile’s concept.
Akro’s story
Akro translates everyday pleasures and addictions into perfume, drawing on coffee, chocolate, tobacco, whisky and other emotionally charged subjects. The house brings together Olivier Cresp’s Grasse perfumery heritage and the energy of London street life. Smile extends that approach from tangible indulgences to the feeling of happiness.
Smile’s concept
Smile began with Anaïs Cresp asking her father for a perfume nobody else would have. Olivier created a joyful fruity musk intended to accompany her through life. She kept it as a private signature for years before opening that personal story to a wider audience through Akro.
Extra info
Despite its apparently simple structure, Olivier Cresp described Smile’s compact formula as a creative challenge. The official note pyramid pairs natural raspberry with sage and bergamot over musk.
