This edit takes a fresh look at fresh in fragrance - where we explore what it is that makes a perfume do that uplifting, mood enhancing, invigorating thing that can really make your day. These summer (and rainy) days are perfect for trying breezy, aquatic notes or exploring lush, verdant profiles with touches of cool fig or shiny bergamot. Yet we’re also keen to embrace scents that go beyond the clean, citrusy and green.
Indeed you might think of fougeres, aromatic greens, clean florals and you’d be right, but fresh scents can also be smokey, sweet or even leatherey. Think evening jasmine and oud or toffee and green leaves. It’s down to the artistry of the perfumer to style a typically dirty or heavy note as fresh.
Dewy mornings, vibrant blooms, clear skies or torrential rain - we’ve served up the conventional and unconventional scents that capture the radiant energy of fresh. No matter your scent style, and even if you don't typically favour ‘fresh perfumes’, this edit includes some hidden gems, certain you'll discover something just as refreshingly unique as you.
The natural zesty sweetness of tangerine is infused with brown sugar and ambergris to refreshing effect. Bourbon is subtly intoxicating adding a twist of cool glamour and confidence to the scent.
