AI Fragrance Assistant
We offer an AI-powered chat assistant on our website to help you discover and choose perfumes. The assistant is embedded as a widget and does not require you to create an account or provide any contact information (such as your name, email, or phone number).
What information is collected during a chat session:
- The assistant may ask about your fragrance preferences, gender, or scent likes and dislikes to provide better recommendations. This information is stored on our server and linked to your chat session ID — it is not tied to your personal identity.
- The full text of your conversation with the assistant is logged using Pydantic LogFire (logfire.pydantic.dev), a third-party observability service, for the purposes of improving the quality of recommendations and debugging technical issues. Conversation logs are not linked to any personally identifiable information.
- We use Umami (umami.is), a privacy-focused analytics tool, to collect anonymous usage statistics about the chat widget. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data.
How the assistant works:
- Your messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI (anthropic.com). When you send a message, the text of your conversation is transmitted to Anthropic's servers to generate a response. Please refer to Anthropic's privacy policy to learn how they handle data sent via their API.
- We do not use your chat conversations for advertising, and we do not share them with any third parties other than the service providers listed above.
Your choices:
- Use of the AI assistant is entirely optional. If you prefer not to interact with it, you can simply close the chat widget.
- If you would like your chat data to be deleted, please contact us at bloom@bloomperfume.co.uk.
